I am a 23rd-year-old UCLA college student born and raised in the South Bay of the LA County. I am majoring in English and minoring in both Gender and African American Studies. Some of my main interests include education/teaching, doing photography, editing, fashion for fat bodies, thrifting, the beach, learning more about healing, listening to music and more.

At this point of my life I am understanding how to come into my own, what my purpose is, how to walk in my purpose, how I can be intentionally involved in my community and deepen my knowledge. I have also been preoccupied how to love inspired by currently reading All About Love by bell hooks which is an excellent novel about the ways in which our ideas about love, based in Western logic, has been all wrong. hooks provides a clear definition of love which "is an act of will, both an intention and an action...Love as 'the will to extend one's self for the the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth". I am in the process of understanding this and how love can manifest in everything that I do moving forward.
